About the Role

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our midnight shift structural foam injection molding operation in Sweetwater, TN. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring consistent output during overnight hours.

This position supports a structured operating system and plays a key role in maintaining discipline on nights through the use of QMS, SQPDC performance tracking, and 6S standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands structural foam molding processes and can keep production running smoothly when on-site leadership is limited.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and support operators, mold techs and material handlers in a structural foam injection molding environment

· Ensure production schedules, part quality, and safety standards are met

· Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and process stability

· Troubleshoot basic molding and production issues; escalate to maintenance or tooling as needed

· Support and enforce the plant Quality Management System (QMS)

· Lead daily SQPDC reviews for the midnight shift (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, Cost)

· Ensure accurate reporting of safety incidents, quality issues, scrap, downtime, and production metrics

· Maintain 6S standards on the shop floor, including organization, cleanliness, and visual controls

· Identify gaps in standards and work with leadership to drive corrective actions

· Enforce standard work, setup procedures, and housekeeping

· Track production output, scrap, downtime, and shift performance

· Communicate shift handoff details, SQPDC performance, open issues, and priorities to day shift leadership

· Support training, coaching, and accountability of midnight shift employees

· Maintain a calm, organized, and safety-focused work environment

What We’re Looking For

· Supervisory experience in structural foam injection molding, injection molding, or similar plastics manufacturing

· Understanding of low-pressure molding, thick-wall parts, and large-tonnage presses

· Experience working in a QMS-driven manufacturing environment

· Comfortable using SQPDC boards, shift metrics, and visual management

· Strong understanding of 6S / workplace organization and daily discipline

· Ability to lead independently on overnight shifts

· Strong people skills with the ability to hold standards consistently

· Comfortable making decisions and handling issues in real time

· Reliable, steady, and solution-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supervising midnight or off-shift operations

· Familiarity with quality systems, SPC, and basic production KPIs

· Experience coordinating with maintenance and tooling teams

· Strong documentation and shift reporting skills
